Religion about women

Every religion has its own ideas about women and their purposes in the world. Every religion gives its own story about appearance of a woman and her relations with a man.

There is even a term "feminist theology" that is a movement that tries to break traditional views of religions and the world on women. Its result is feminization of religious authorities.

Christianity. According to Bible, a woman was created from the Adam's rib. That is why a lot of discussions were held on the topic of a woman. The main problem of their discussion was, whether a woman has a soul or she is only the instrument created by God to give birth to people. Woman was always pictured as the representative of all evil. She was the reason for the gap that existed between heaven and people. And as church played an important role in politics and ruling the country that is why it infringed upon women's interests. According to the Bible, women were either prostitutes, or betrayers, they were always pictured as negative creatures. But nowadays woman has almost equal rights as men due to feminist movement. Nowadays a woman has the right to initiate divorce process, has no restrictions in wearing clothes, etc.

Islam. According to Islam a woman is a creature that has equal rights with a man. Men and women have the equal responsibility for their deeds. According to the Koran, woman was not responsible for the misdeed of Adam, a woman and a man did it together and repented of it and Allah excused them. The Koran is a saint book and a law at the same time in some countries of the world. According to it, women even have some privileges. But at the same time women have to obey men. It may seem a paradox, but the explanation is that women are considered to be treasure that should be carefully kept and guarded. And provident fathers give women to provident husbands. And men have to take care of them even if women are against it. And this is the source of all conflicts.

Judaism. In Judaism a woman is a unique creation. And its role is very important as she keeps the house, educates the next generation and is a devoted servant of her husband. But in Judaism a woman has more rights than a woman in Islam. And at the same time has fewer rights than a woman in Christianity. A woman has to wear a head-dress and a long skirt.

So, almost all religions of the world picture women as the source of all evil and the companion of devil. Women were accused to be witches and burned in Christianity, people threw stones at women who cheated their husbands in Islam, and women were killed for their misdeeds in Judaism.

Feminism was the consequence of such representation of the role of women in life. But according to Christianity God is not able to create something bad and ugly, and women are pictured as bad creatures of the God. According to Islam, a woman is treasure of which men should take care. Men should take care of them but not to turn them into prisoners. And in Judaism a woman is a good creature that plays an important role in bringing up children, and she is a servant of husband at the same time. So religions contradict their own theories.
